Terms of Service
Last updated 25 August 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and the consulting services described on it. Using the site means you accept them.
What I provide, and what I do not
I provide strategic divorce consulting. I am a licensed California attorney, and my background in family law is what makes the consulting useful, but I am not acting as your attorney, and nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship.
I do not give legal advice, represent you, appear for you, draft your pleadings, or replace the counsel you have. If you do not have a lawyer and need one, I will tell you so.
No attorney-client relationship
Reading this site, emailing me, booking a call, or working with me as a consultant does not make me your lawyer. If you need legal advice about your case, ask your attorney. Our conversations do not carry attorney-client privilege, and I cannot promise a court would treat them as confidential.
Conflict checks
Because I am a licensed California attorney, I run a conflict check before taking in any details about your matter. At the outset I will ask for names only: you, your spouse, and the attorneys on both sides. Please do not send settlement offers, filings, financial records, or other confidential material until I have confirmed the check is clear.
If a conflict exists, I will tell you I cannot work with you, and I will not have taken in your confidential information. Sending me material before the check has cleared is at your own risk and does not create any duty on my part.
No guaranteed outcome
Nothing I say is a prediction or a promise about how your case will turn out. Family law outcomes turn on facts, judges, opposing counsel, and decisions you make. You remain responsible for every choice you make in your own matter.
Sessions, fees, and cancellations
Fees are as listed on the Work With Me page and are due before or at the time of the session unless we agree otherwise. Six-session packages must be used within two months of the first session. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule; sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged.
Your responsibilities
Tell me accurate information; advice built on an incomplete picture is worth little. Do not send me another person's privileged material. Do not use anything from our work to harass or intimidate anyone.
